Fighting battles will progress the game, revealing more of the story and unlocking new disciples.
First, you'll learn the basics by fighting on the side of light with Kurt. Then you'll fight again, this time on the side of shadow.
Fight battles to earn allies!
As you fight, more allies will become available.
Early in the story, you'll earn rewards and several disciples:
Play the light story to earn Alberta, Carina, Gotthold, and Zasha.
Play the shadow story to earn Hati and Sai.
Taking a disciple into battle earns them valuable enhancement materials, which can be used to level them up.
Once earned, magic skills can be used by other disciples too, so you'll want to develop as many disciples as you can.

By fighting battles, you'll also unlock Story Fragments.
The story is divided in two: a light story and a shadow story.
Fighting for the light reveals more of the light story, while fighting for the shadow advances the shadow story.
* Any disciple can be used to progress in either story.
Fight battles to advance your Season Pass!
By completing challenges in battle, your Season Pass will advance, which earns you rewards.
